FRANK AND MARIE PEASE CROOK HOUSE
1717 OCEAN DRIVE
This Mediterranean style structure was built circa 1934. It is a 2½ story brick residence with multiple east facing bays, a steeply pitched hip ceramic tile roof , two interior and two exterior stucco chimneys, 1-bay partial width porch with second story balcony and a single carved wood glazed door surrounded by ceramic tile voussoir. On the northwest corner of the property is a metal and glass conservatory and greenhouse with sunburst windows over the French doors. A sculpture garden is located on the north side of the property. The entire city block property is enclosed by a decorative Victorian brick and cast iron fence brought from New Orleans, Louisiana. Extensive vegetation adore the property. This home was built for Frank and Marie Pease Crook where they lived until their deaths. The home was subsequently purchased by the Stone Estate.
